This movie is set in the 16th century during the Mughal era. It is a true story about Prince Salim who is the son of Emperor Akbar and Anarkali. Anarkali was a court dancer and Prince Salim falls in love with her. Emperor Akbar does not approve of the relationship and then it is war between them. It was in black and white print. Recently the colored version of the movie was released. The movie stars Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala etc. also had wonderful songs with excellent sound tracks and grand sets.


Starring this movie are Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, etc. It is an excellent movie with a terminally ill man who is jovial knowing very well that he has only a few days left to live and lived life to the fullest and taught everyone around him to do the same. The last scene is the best ever in Bollywood cinema. Everything in this movie from direction to acting to music is great. The rest of the star cast has done a great job too.

The central character of the film is Damini (Meenakshi Seshadri). She gets married into a very rich and famous family. One day Damini is a witness to a sexual harassment done on the maid of the family by her brother- in- law and his friends. She stands up for the maid against rest of the family including her husband to get her justice though she dies. How she helps the maid get justice is to watch out for.


A couple Paul and Catherine McNally have a daughter Michelle, who loses her eyesight and hearing ability after an illness at the age of 2. The couple are not able to understand how to look after a deaf and blind girl keep her away from the rest of the world which in turn makes her ill-tempered, bad mannered and an emotionally distraught girl. Her parents even think of sending Michelle to a mental asylum. This is where an alcoholic, eccentric teacher who teaches deaf and blind students enters. He tries to teach her. Years later she meets him again. Watch this excellent movie to know more. Fantastic acting by Amitabh Bachhan as the teacher and Rani Mukherjee as Michelle won them many awards and allocades.
